Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-21
Effective — 21 Aug 2026
You may have the right, under the CCPA/CPRA in California or an equivalent statute in another US state, to opt out of having your personal information sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page tells you how.
What Is Actually Involved
We should be clear about scope. Your personal information is not sold for money. Where advertising is served, though, identifiers may be shared with advertising partners, and because these laws define ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ expansively, that sharing may fall within them. The opt-out is offered on that basis.
Anyone reading our guides on classroomwave.com can opt out, subscriber or not.
What Opting Out Does
Opting out stops the sharing of advertising identifiers; it does not remove advertising from the site. You may still see ads, but they will be generic rather than selected from your browsing history. Nothing else about the site changes, and we do not degrade access or withhold content because you opted out.
Registering Your Choice
Opt out in whichever way suits. Global Privacy Control, enabled in your browser, is honoured here automatically and needs no contact with us. The consent banner, where displayed, lets you refuse advertising cookies. Or email hello@classroomwave.com with subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. Creating an account is never a condition.
The State Privacy Notice sets out every right these statutes provide, not just this one.
